| Black cartridges: 51626A , 51629A
, 51633A |

Please use the following instruction only if you do not use
our refill system, otherwise please use the instructions for
the refill system. |
 |
Turn the cartridge
upside down so that the print head faces upwards. Next to the
print head you will find a labyrinth with a little vent hole.
Tape this hole with adhesive tape. Now you can refill the cartridge. |
 |
Turn the cartridge
back to the original position and press the ball on the top
into the cartridge(1). If your cartridge has no ball, drill
a hole using a 1/8th inch drill bit (2). |
 |
Place the needle
onto the syringe and fill it with ink. |
 |
To avoid damaging
the air bag in the cartridge, only insert the needle approx.
0.4 inch. Now fill the cartridge with 38 cc at maximum (3). |
 |
SLOWLY inject the
ink into the filling hole. When the ink overflows from the filling
hole or the print heads the cartridge is full, stop filling
immediately. |
 |
Draw the provided
air syringe up to the 6 cc marking. Place the air syringe onto
the centre aperture and press the air into the cartridge (4). |
 |
Before removing
the air syringe seal the filling hole with the provided plug
(5). The hole must be sealed air tight, otherwise ink will leak.
If the filling hole cannot be sealed air tight with the plug,
secure the plug with strong adhesive tape. |
 |
Blot the print heads
with tissue to remove excess ink. Do not leave the cartridge
on the tissue. Remove the adhesive tape from the aperture at
the labyrinth. |
 |
Leave the cartridge
to stand over night on a protective, non-absorbent surface to
ensure no leakage. |
 |
Return the cartridge
to the printer and run a cleaning/priming cycle as per your
printer instructions |
|
| Colour cartridges : 51625A , 51649A |
 |
 |
Carefully remove
the top of the cartridge with a penknife/Stanley knife, by cutting
along the seal. |
 |
Pull out the piston
rod of the syringe, then place the needle onto the syringe and
pierce the needle into the aperture of the cartridge. The needle
must be inserted to the bottom of the cartridge. |
 |
ATTENTION: The
cartridge contains a sponge so slight resistance will be felt. |
 |
Now fill 6cc of
the appropriate colour ink into the piston of the syringe. The
sponge on the inside will absorb the ink appropriately. The
saturation process can take a few minutes. Repeat this process
for the other colour chambers.
ATTENTION: The ink level must not be above the sponge. |
 |
Blot the print
heads with tissue to remove excess ink before continuing with
the next colour. |
 |
ATTENTION: Do not
reseal the filling holes. |
 |
Leave the cartridge
to stand over night on a protective, non-absorbent surface to
ensure no leakage and to give the ink time to saturate the sponge. |
 |
ATTENTION: DO NOT
LEAVE the cartridge on tissue. |
 |
Return the cartridge
to the printer and run a cleaning/priming cycle as per your
printer instructions. |
|
Blocked Cartridges
Place the blocked cartridge into ¼
to ½ inch of warm water.
Leave to stand for a few minutes.
When the ink begins to flow from the outlet holes, remove the cartridge
from the water and dry with a soft cloth.
Return the cartridge to the printer and run the cleaning/priming cycle
as per your printer instructions.
You may have to do this a few times until you regain the print quality.
Important : Always refill the cartridge
as soon as the warning light sign is shown.
